Peter Schweda

Partner

Pete Schweda is an accomplished attorney with decades of experience practicing law in Washington State and in federal courts throughout the western United States. A graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law (Class of 1976), Mr. Schweda has built a respected career defined by integrity, dedication to justice, and strong advocacy for his clients. He was admitted to practice law in the Washington State Courts in 1977, as well as being admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Washington Supreme Court. Over the course of his career, he has handled a wide range of complex legal matters, appearing before trial and appellate courts with a reputation for thorough preparation and clear, persuasive argumentation. Mr. Schweda has also contributed significantly to the administration of federal criminal justice. He served as a Criminal Justice Act (CJA) panel representative for the Eastern District of Washington, where he worked to support high-quality defense representation for indigent defendants. In addition, he was appointed to the Ninth Circuit CJA Oversight Committee, helping guide and strengthen CJA policy and practice across the circuit. With nearly a lifetime of legal experience, Pete Schweda remains committed to providing exceptional legal counsel and upholding the highest standards of the legal profession.

Ben graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2025, where he served as Vice President of the Street Law program and was actively involved in community legal education. During his time at Gonzaga, Ben gained hands-on experience across multiple areas of practice. He interned in general civil litigation, where he supported complex case preparation and legal research. Ben brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to his work and is committed to helping clients navigate legal challenges with clarity and confidence.
